We are not a free Masonic organization, we are not Freemasonry, nor do we speak on behalf on any Freemasonic jurisdiction, lodge or organization. We are a society of non-masons, and Masons who are dedicated to fostering curiosity, encouraging questions, and cultivating a deeper understanding of the betterment of self through study, dialogue, and our collective experiences.

Weekly Masonic Reflection Letter: May 13th 2026.

“And God planted all kinds of fruit-bearing trees and placed the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge in the midst of the Garden.”

Dear Brethren, within this sacred allegory are revealed the two great paths set before humanity and their common destiny. The Tree of Knowledge represents this mortal life as a school of growth, experience, and testing, through which man may acquire wisdom, judgment, understanding, and power. The Tree of Life represents the higher promise: divine life, eternal progression, and union with the purposes of the Grand Architect of the Universe.

Masonry teaches that man is not a meaningless accident of nature, but the offspring of God, possessing the seeds of divine potential. As it has been wisely said, man is “a god in embryo,” capable, if willing, of rising to heights beyond present imagination, despite of having this earthly body subject to weakness, temptation, passion, and the limitations of mortality. The great labor of Masonry is therefore the mastery of self: to subdue the flesh, govern the passions, and place the spirit in command over the body. Only then may a man truly lead others, because he has first learned to govern himself. The world encourages indulgence and distraction, but Masonry calls us toward purpose, discipline, and transformation. To partake of the Tree of Life, man must continually seek further Light; ask, and knock, accepting personal responsibility toward God and toward his fellowman. He must willingly live a life of righteousness, purity, service, and integrity.

Many live in spiritual laziness, mental indifference, and endless pursuit of worldly gratification. In doing so, they neglect the greatest treasure available to man: the knowledge of God, His existence, His laws, His love, and His promises. No earthly success can compensate for the loss of spiritual direction. Happiness is not found in wealth, titles, or temporary pleasures, but in living according to eternal principles with simplicity and sincerity.

Fraternally yours, The Presidency of the Society of Light.
Signed in spirit and truth.
