Weekly Masonic Reflection Letter: Aug 5th, 2026.

“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Dear Brethren, the search for Light requires more than strong convictions; it requires the courage to discover where we may be wrong. Socrates reminds us that self-examination is not weakness, but the beginning of wisdom. A conscience protected from correction soon becomes a servant of pride.

We should therefore ask whether we seek truth or merely confirmation of what we already believe. Listening with patience, admitting error, and revising our judgment are demanding forms of self-mastery. Correction offered with respect, and received with humility, can become an instrument of refinement.

May our fellowship remain a place where differing voices are met with goodwill rather than defensiveness. Among Masons, friends, and sincere seekers, disagreement need not become division when conscience is joined with brotherly love. Together, let us practice the quiet courage of becoming more truthful, more understanding, and more worthy of the Light we seek.
